In 1996 APTCO,LLC was created when two table grape growers decided to start their own EPS grape box company. Joe Slapnik designed the equipment, layout and process procedure of the new plant in McFarland, CA. This was Joe Slapnik's third table grape box plant design. Production began in spring 1997.

Since most of the production went to the owners, quality was (and is) the highest priority.

The table grape box is almost unique in EPS packaging because not only does it protect the contents but it holds up the boxes above it. The bottom box in the picture below must hold up to 1000 pounds load. APTCO,LLC has over ten years experience with production of table grape boxes.

APTCO,LLC is centrally located in California 20 miles north of Bakersfield in McFarland in the heart of the table grape vineyards. APTCO,LLC is 3-4 hours from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Sacramento.

Bob Shelker joined APTCO,LLC in 2007 and brings over 30 years of EPS experience to APTCO,LLC. Jim Banuelos and Scott Hakl each have over 20 years experience in EPS.

APTCO,LLC is also proud of its safety record. From 1998 until now APTCO,LLC has been above industry average for safety. APTCO,LLC's safety record for 2004-2007 has been near perfect.
